Leylandii Hedge being trimmed for a customer in Newton Mearns.
Its important that you don’t cut below the green shoots and into brown wood when trimming Leylandii or Conifer as they will not produce regrowth from that area again.
So when trimming less is more and we always leave some green on the branches.

This week our gardeners are in Newton Mearns on the Southside of Glasgow for a full garden tidy up. This consisted of cutting thick wet grass amongst other things. The grass had not been trimmed in a couple of months and to make matters worse the rain showed up as we where working, but we gardeners are a hardy bunch!
We also done all the flower beds in this garden by hoeing and forking out the weeds before turning over the soil. This customer also had a thick laurel hedge which had grown over a window and was blocking light into the house.
